Most HR professionals will say that with the large no of diverse crowd entering the workplace having a desirable skill such as empathetic listening is highly essential.

Empathetic listening is the ability to understand the needs, desires, challenges and goals of employees.

Generally speaking empathetic listening means letting other people speak more than you do.

However knowing when to start speaking is equally important.

Empathetic listening also means you know when to stop talking.

Active listeners draw out more information from people by knowing how to ask the right questions and then follow up with deeper questions.

When having serious conversations about a persons complaints, problems and challenges, we must be able to hear them out in order to respond properly and rationally.

Can you think of any other technique that you may use to further enhance your listening skills.??👧
