Johari Window – Hidden Area✔💡
Hi all, in the last 2 posts we spoke about the open self and the blind spot.
Today we are going to look at the hidden Area or hidden self.
Refer to the Johari window pic
In this quadrant, the subject👧👨, selects the adjectives that he/she believes makes up their personality.
ex: Adjectives such as Sensible, sentimental, shy, silly, smart, spontaneous, sympathetic, tense, trustworthy.
In this case the peers may not be aware of these hidden traits/personality.
However there is every possibility that the adjective selected by the subject is not correct.
These are qualities or traits of the subject the peers are either unaware of, or that are untrue but for the subject’s claim.
The hidden area will give participants a great deal of insight into their own world. It will also allow a chance to introspect and raise awareness among individuals.
