Motivation : The core concept in performance psychology is motivation.

Motivational theories can be divided into two main categories; need theories and process theories.

The most well known need theory can be seen in the work of Abraham Maslow(1943). He speculated that individuals have a set of needs that need to be satisfied in order for them to fully function. These needs are: physiological, safety, social, esteem, and self actualization(living up to ones full potential).

The 5 Levels of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

The theory still illuminates the world of business.

In the recent pandemic, most of us felt a big difference when it came to working from home.

Working in a corporate environment had its plus, which involved colleagues, office parties, chit chat, immediate assistance when you needed it etc.

so how has the pandemic changed this.

Can we implement Maslow’s needs theory in our thinking.

How many of us can relate to this modelπŸ’‘ πŸ˜€πŸ‘§
